The Greater Midwest C.S ARMHS is a recovery-based rehabilitative program that enables individuals to develop and improve their psychiatric stability in various areas of their lives, such as mental illness symptom management, interpersonal communication, and household management and relapse prevention. Skills that have been lost or diminished due to symptoms of mental illness can be acquired, practiced and enhanced through training and education. Our qualified ARMHS practitioners provide one-on-one support both in the home and in the community. Our ARMHS practitioners instruct, assist and support people with many skills and goals, such as:

Healthy Lifestyle Decisions
Interpersonal Communication
Household Management
Community Resource Utilization and Integration
Crisis assistance
Relapse Prevention
Cooking and Nutrition
Transportation Access
Medication Education and Monitoring
Employment-related Skills
Transition to Community Living Services
Individuals interested in receiving ARMHS must meet the following state mandated criteria:
- Be age 18 or older
- Live in any one of the Counties in Minnesota
- Be on medical assistance or PMAP
- Be diagnosed with a serious and persistent mental illness (SPMI) such as Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, or Borderline Personality Disorder; and
- Have a functional impairment in 3 or more life domains due to the symptoms of the diagnosed SPMI.
To apply for these services, please complete the ARMHS Referral Form and submit it via email to contactus@greatermidwestcounseling.com or via fax at 507-720-6265. Once a referral is received, an assessment will be scheduled to determine if ARMHS is appropriate for the individual referred.
